We were thrilled to hear from Debbie last week. Back in January we re-enamelled Debbie's Aga range cooker.
Do not fear, we did not remove the badge, just a little bit of digital wizardry at play here! It is a trademark after all!
Debbie contacted us last summer,
"I have a gas Aga which I think dates back to the 1970s. Last winter it wasn’t as efficient as usual . Not hot enough inside the ovens , and lots of heat being lost into the air , which is lovey when it’s freezing outside, but stifling at other times ...
I think it needs re insulating, I would like the black top restoring as it is scratched. I like in West Yorkshire but can’t find any businesses like yours in our area.
I wonder if this sort of overhaul is possible ...?"
Happily we were able to say yes and book her in! This is her cooker now, and Debbie is chuffed to bits with the results!

Food cooks much quicker, the kitchen is not unbearably hot. We are delighted. We take great care in what we do and we listen. Refurbishing your beloved range is not just about cosmetics, it has to work as efficiently as it can too! This is why we insulate every door & lid on each cooker we visit with high performance insulation, cut to fit. We also make sure that the internal insulation fills the body of each cooker and plugs every air gap!
Our onsite services have 'downed tools' for a while, but not forever. Staff and customer safety come first! We are still taking bookings, and would love to chat to you about your cooker. Our friendly and skilled engineers eagerly await a time when they can get on the road!
Aside from a hefty amount of cleaning, home working and social distancing it its 'business as usual' at Blake & Bull! Some of us work from home {with happy hounds, kids and a few guinea pigs & chickens} and the smaller HQ team {depleted by the homeworkers absence} enjoy the extra leg room in the office!
< Upgrading your insulation is something you can do at home, a great task to do as the weather warms up and you can turn your range off for a short while.
