Philip & Matt, our engineers, returned from their work today with the frontage from this much loved but sad looking Claret Aga range cooker ..
There are a few different methods of re-painting or re-surfacing enamel range cookers - they are all awful! The initial results don't look too bad but over a relatively short period of time things deteriorate quickly. Acrylic or paint surfaces age quickly, are impossible to clean and are vulnerable to all sorts of materials. All of these properties are precisely the opposite of vitreous enamel! There is a reason vitreous has been used on range cookers since the 1920's!
We will only ever use genuine cast parts when carrying out our re-enamelling service, and the only surface that equals this in quality and longevity is vitreous enamel.
The enamel that came back from this cooker to the workshop was rough, pitted, flaky and dull....
Now this wonderful old Standard Aga range cooker looks as she should, resplendent in red and set to last decades in this condition - not months.
You can have your e-cook reconditioned cooker, or your existing cooker re-enamelledin this or 37 other lustrous colours!
Our Dotty textiles look quite the part too against the red, now on sell through to make room for new autumn ranges, grab' em while you can!
