I have spent some time getting to know these nifty two-tone tools, and there really is quite a bit to say about them. Reassuringly strong and surprisingly lightweight, they make cooking a breeze and washing up too, as each has a soft silicone lip to wipe clean your favourite pan!
First up is the flexible honeycomb pan grip, or is it a trivet, or a placemat..? You choose. You can expose it to temperatures of up to 260℃ and it will protect you and your surfaces from harm. The honeycomb texture much like the tread on a shoe, grips the pan and your hand, reducing the risk of slipping pans.
No need to long for the perfect tongs! We have found them. I love the 'locking' clips, one smooth sideways action and the generous tong ends lock into position. There is no chance of 'spring back', meaning you can confidently transport your food to your plate. They are wider than most tongs, and have little drainage grooves for fat to flow down which also improve the grip.
This skimmer is dual purpose, not only does it skim sauces with ease due to it's smooth exterior and shallow profile, it has a lip that scrapes away any residue from the side of the pan too! Wolly Good you see!
Don't be misled by it's size, this spoon has a small bowl, but it is perfect for all pan sizes. It's long lightweight handle means you will reach the base of deep pans and bowls with ease, and the lip will leave the pan clean too!
This sauce spoon has a hole to ease stirring and aid blending. The hole reduces the spoons resistance against the sauce, and the little angled edge prevents sauce sticking to hot spots on the base of the pan. The soft rounded edge acts in the same way, releasing liquid that is in danger of cooking onto the side as you stir.
This spatula is flipping brilliant!It is four tools in one! A generous flat slice to flip, the soft lip to scrape, the serrated edge to divide and cut, and the holes act as a drainer for fat/liquid too!
Each of these pieces is reinforced with glass fibre, the handles are narrow, soft, easy to hold, and strong! Each has a hole at the top for hanging with an 'S' hook too.
Last but not least, this scraper/spatula. Perfect if you bake, and you want to wipe the sides of your bowl clean. Not so good if you are a kid inside and want to eat the baking residue mind you! Getting into corners and moving sauces and baking batter around is easy with the soft rounded edge. The reinforced glass fibre handle travels into the silicone end making it robust enough to withstand daily use.
As you can see we are big fans of this range, hard not to be when each design is so well thought through, and they are made with longevity and adaptability in mind.
